Off Color Art Fest is a brand new art festival in Ypsilanti, Michigan, aiming to showcase the diversity and vibrancy of the local art scene. We celebrate art that is unique, edgy, and pushes creative boundaries. Join us for a celebration of unconventional creativity!
Why "Off Color"?
This name celebrates art that pushes boundaries and defies categorization. It's a space for those who might not find a perfect fit at other art fairs because their work is unique, edgy, or simply doesn't conform to traditional styles. We're a juried show, but we're more interested in the "offbeat" than the "off-putting." Think provocative, not offensive! We're aiming for a PG-13 vibe, a place where everyone feels welcome to explore unconventional creativity.
The Ypsi Spirit
This festival is rooted in Ypsi. Organized by Ypsi residents, it's about showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of our local art scene. We're aiming to capture the essence of "Shadow Art Fair" with the artistic prestige of "ArtPrize," creating a unique and exciting event for our community (optional to add something like "that pays homage to what has made DIYpsi so special for the past 14 years).
